Team revealed for Bath’s largest hotel

Apex City of Bath Hotel, the city’s largest hotel, has unveiled the team who will welcome its first guests in the coming weeks.

General Manager Tim O’Sullivan has enlisted a strong and experienced management team to lead the rest of the enthusiastic individuals working at the 177-bedroom property, which is gearing up to open its doors.

The £35m hotel, on the corner of James Street West, will be the city’s largest in terms of bedrooms as well as being Bath’s only purpose-built conference centre with capacity for up to 400 delegates.

It will be Apex’s tenth property in the UK, and it’s first in England outside of London.

The unveiling of the team comes following an extensive recruitment drive, including regional fairs, which sought to find the perfect mix of experienced team members and those looking to kick-start a career in hospitality.

Tim O’Sullivan, General Manager of Apex City of Bath Hotel, (pictured centre) said, “I’m thrilled to introduce the team that will offer our guests a warm welcome to this first-class hotel. The standard of applicants was exceptionally high and we had a tough job choosing the people to fill the final roles.

“This is yet another milestone on our exciting journey, and I can’t wait for guests and visitors from the local area and further afield to meet our team in person.

“They are a talented group, with plenty of experience as well as enthusiasm. They’ve settled into their roles very well and are looking forward to greeting and looking after our guests over the coming weeks.”

Amy Rowbotham of Bristol (pictured third from left) is just one of the members of the team, and is taking on what she calls her biggest role yet at Apex City of Bath Hotel – as Front Office Manager. She said, “I’ve worked in hospitality for a number of years and have experienced a few different roles in my time, but this is definitely the biggest one I’ve ever taken on. It’ll be challenging but exciting.

“I’m most looking forward to meeting our new neighbours, working with local businesses and creating relationships with our guests – as well as showing off our stylish new hotel.”

The four-star Apex City of Bath Hotel will boast 177 bedrooms, restaurant, bar, gymnasium and pool alongside Bath’s only purpose-built city centre conference facility for up to 400 guests. The hotel is ideally located within easy reach of tourist destinations with the world famous Roman Baths situated just a five minute walk away.
