The Woodcutter Bar, located on Merry Street in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire, has been brought to the market through Christie & Co.
The Woodcutter is a well established public house within the town, having been under the same family ownership for over 50 years.
Trading as a local’s pub, The Woodcutter is also known for its karaoke bar and lively atmosphere, providing live entertainment four nights of the week, and also attracts office and work parties from the town centre.
The pub currently trades under management and it would be ideally suited to a regional operator or alternatively someone entering the licensed trade for the first time.
Brian Sheldon, Regional Director at Christie & Co’s Glasgow Office who is handling the sale, commented, “The Woodcutter is a long established public house within the town and will be of interest to many buyers.
'Due to a bereavement within the family the public house has been made available for sale, otherwise I’m sure the business would remain within the family as it is a well located and highly regarded establishment at the heart of the community.”
Woodcutter Bar is on the market at offers invited for the freehold going concern.
