Honesty Group plans two new coffee shops & bakery expansion

Berkshire-based Honesty Group is planning to expand its bakery wholesale business and open two new coffee shops in the south west of England.

Founded by cookery writer Romilla Arber, the company currently operates eight coffee shops, a cookery school, the Honesty Bakery and kitchen, and The Crown and Garter restaurant with hotel rooms.

The latest opening was in July at the Herongate Club leisure complex in Hungerford, offering nutritious food and refreshing beverages, including a fresh juice service. Open later on Thursday and Friday, there's a fully licensed bar and light menu.

The Newbury flagship bakery produces a range of artisan bread, pastries, tarts, cakes and biscuits for wholesale. The expansion plans aim to increase its supply and distribution to operators in the south west.

Arber commented, “Our business all started with bread and wanting to take a different approach to food and how it gets to the consumer. To be focusing on expanding Honesty Bakery ahead of our fifth anniversary in September is really exciting and something that is very close to my heart.”
