Starhotels has appointed Thomas James Orchard as General Manager of the Starhotels Collezione London Complex, comprising The Franklin, The Gore and The Pelham. Orchard has more than thirty years of luxury hospitality experience leading several hotel properties.
Orchard developed his London experience through his time at The Berkeley Hotel London and COMO Hotels and Resorts, which he joined in 2000.
There he began his managerial development path: starting as General Manager at COMO The Halkin, he then moved to lead COMO Metropolitan London until 2005. He assumed the role of Regional General Manager until 2018, managing both properties and the COMO Metropolitan London Apartments.
He has most recently returned from the Caribbean where he was Managing Director and General Manager at Carlisle Bay, Antigua.

The three sites are:
The Franklin, located in Knightsbridge, comprises 35 rooms, The Franklin Restaurant by Alfredo Russo, and The Franklin Bar.
The Gore, located in Queen's Gate, features 50 rooms and suites, and is famous for being the location of the launch of The Rolling Stones' 1968 album, Beggar's Banquet.
The Pelham, located in South Kensington, includes 52 rooms and suites, a signature restaurant La Trattoria by Alfred Russo, as well as several leisure facilities.
Starhotels Collezione is a collection of 12 historic residences, and is part of the Starhotels family. Starhotels is a private Italian hotel company with a portfolio of 29 hotels in cities like London, Paris and New York.
