As we come to the end of the year, Tower Bridge is expecting to see the flurry of Christmas and New Year marriage proposals.
Each year the Bridge receives hundreds of requests to exclusively hire the Walkways across the River Thames as the place to propose to their other half.
The Walkways, with their famous glass floors, as well as offering spectacular views across London, can be hired exclusively for a proposal at a week or less notice.
Tower Bridge has seen a 15% increase in requests to use the Bridge for marriage proposals over the last year.
Couples that have used the Walkways at Tower Bridge in the past as their chosen location for that all-important question, have been Londoners, people from around the UK visiting London for a special occasion and couples from abroad, however, the biggest growth area in the past year has been the international visitors.
Largely requests have been by couples from the USA or from Asia as everyone has been looking for a destination proposal and an amazing experience for the proposal itself.
This follows the trend for holiday makers selecting more exotic and instagrammable locations to spend their breaks, proposing in the walkways overlooking London is certainly a snap able image.
