D’acqua, a popular restaurant offering English, French & Italian cuisine in the heart of Sunderland, has been brought to market through Christie & Co.
The well-loved restaurant is situated on John Street and forms part of an established eating and drinking circuit.
Owners, Mr and Mrs Shadforth have run the restaurant for several years and gained an enviable reputation, however the time had come for them to try something new.
They commented, “We feel the time is right to start planning for our future. We will continue to put 110% into what we offer at D'acqua. The staff have been informed of this decision can be rest assured their jobs are secure.
'We hope to find suitable new owners to take over and keep d'acqua being the success it is. We will be eternally grateful to all of you for your custom. We hope this decision will not put you off supporting the business as you always have.”
