Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels injects £1.3m into Highland hotel revamp

Ballachulish Hotel, in the iconic Highland setting of Glencoe, has undergone a significant refurbishment thanks to a £1.3m boost from owners, Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels.

The four-star hotel, which dates back to 1877, will officially reopen its doors on Monday 26 April 2021 following the easing of lockdown restrictions.

The cash injection during its closure has resulted in extensive refurbishment of the 53 bedrooms and facilities of the hotel including restaurants, to ensure guests can enjoy a memorable break in the Highlands.

With its location situated proudly amongst the world-renowned mountainous highlands of Glencoe, guests will be surrounded by a stunning Scottish outlook that takes in Loch Linnhe and Loch Leven.

Stephen Leckie, CEO of Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels, said, “By investing in our Ballachulish Hotel, we have ensured our guests can have the best experience possible beginning with a warm Scottish welcome.

“We are committed to investing, not only in our portfolio but also in Scottish tourism as it begins to rebuild, and we look forward to opening our doors in the coming weeks.”

Ballachulish Hotel, situated within two hours’ drive from Glasgow and three from Edinburgh, offers the perfect place to go on an adventure.

The dog-friendly hotel is the perfect base for walks, hikes and bikes to explore Glencoe, Fort William and the surrounding area in all its glory. If relaxing in a swimming pool sounds more appealing the leisure facilities of sister hotel Isles of Glencoe are fully accessible to Ballachulish guests.
