Erpingham House set for site reopenings & Edinburgh launch

Following months of closure due to the UK-wide lockdown, Erpingham House is set to reopen for indoor dining next month at its Brighton and Norwich sites, and a new opening in Edinburgh is scheduled for late June.

The restaurant group, which from June will be found in three cities across the UK, is the brainchild of vegan-preneur, Loui Blake (pictured). Quickly establishing themselves as the UK’s leading and fastest growing restaurant brand, their vegan wares can be found in Norwich, Brighton and a launch set for a new Edinburgh site.

The new Edinburgh site will be in Bonnie & Wild’s Scottish Marketplace: Edinburgh’s first food hall located in the new St James Quarter, which brings together the best independent food and drink producers Scotland has to offer to create an outstanding social dining experience under one roof.

Erpingham House was founded in 2018 by vegan entrepreneur Loui Blake and footballers Declan Rudd and Russell Martin, who saw a lack of plant-based options in Norwich.

Noticing a gap in the market, the trio opened Erpingham House – a restaurant, bar and cafe that is built on health, sustainability, and delicious food as much as a good time. Centred on a mantra of ‘eat plants and be kind’, Erpingham House is proud to be free from single-use plastics and offset all their carbon emissions by planting trees.

Diners can expect a 100% plant-based menu focusing on modern vegan cuisine that appeals to all diets and lifestyles. Spearheaded by 21-year-old Head Chef, Meg Greenacre, who champions minimal wastage, and locally grown, fresh, seasonal produce, the menus offer a pioneering take on vegan cooking and are centred on real and proper food done well. Think hearty Sunday roasts, salads, breakfast bowls and Erpingham House favourites.

Classically trained Greenacre earned her stripes working in Norfolk’s top fine dining restaurants for six years before heading up the kitchen team at Erpingham House. Since arriving, Meg has been instrumental in creating forward-thinking, creative plant-based dishes that go far beyond the regular vegan blueprint.

As lockdown rules relax and things slowly get back to normal, Erpingham House looks set to once again become a vegan hub in cities around the UK.
