Coqbull opens two new London eateries

The team behind Coqbull, the Irish chicken and burger concept, has today announced the opening of not one but two new restaurants with beautiful outdoor spaces – one in Soho and one in Spitafields Market in Shoreditch.

Despite an incredibly tough year for the hospitality industry and in true Coqbull fashion, both restaurants have already opened their terraces and are ready to celebrate summer by serving a mouth-watering menu of delicious free-range rotisserie chicken and gourmet burgers as well as an array of tantalising cocktails and local craft beers.

The Coqbull Soho site is situated just off Piccadilly Circus, on Denman Street, in an expansive 350-cover site set over three floors with a stunning rooftop terrace and outdoor dining on the ground floor.

Staying true to its raw and honest nature with a tongue and cheek attitude, the menu showcases dishes such as Coq Spice Bag (Chicken strippers, dry rub chicken wings, popcorn chicken, pickled onions, spiced peppers, fried and habanero mayo), Smoking Coq (Marinated chicken breast, crispy bacon, smoked Applewood cheese, smoked BBQ mayo and tobacco onions) and burgers such as the Classic Double Bull and the Ragin’ Bull (Jalapeno, chillied red onions and habanero mayo).

Complementing the main menu are the Coqtails and Coqshakes as well as the Happy Endings section of the menu where guests can find the mouth-watering Eton Mess Whipand Warm Cookie Pan served with vanilla ice cream and toffee sauce.

Just like the Soho restaurant, Coqbull Spitafields will bring its lively, energetic vibes to the ever-popular market in Shoreditch. In May, the restaurant will only open its outdoor spaces, whilst the 120-cover space inside is being remodelled. The ex-Blixen site will feature a ground floor which will be home to bar and restaurant, as well as a 50-cover basement perfect for private dining, DJ nights and late-night events.

The ground floor will be filled with beautiful bespoke furniture, neon lights and graffiti elements along the walls, whilst the cosy basement will bring a cool speakeasy bar vibe to the restaurant. The interiors will be inspired by the market’s look and feel, whilst staying true to its fun and daring nature.

In terms of the food and drink offering, guests can expect a similar menu to the one in Soho focusing on high-quality free-range chicken from Norfolk, beef burgers supplied by a UK-based 3rd generation butcher, The Butchers Block, and refreshing cocktails perfect for summer. Both restaurants serve a delicious weekend Brunch and Sunday rotisserie menus.

Coqbull was founded by Irish-born Patrick Frawley, who is also the owner of The East London Pub & Co. The group currently operates 4 sites across London The Ten Bells (Spitafields, London), The Gun (Spitafields, London), The Lock Tavern (Camden, London), The Saxon (Clapham, London).

Now Coqbull which is looking to expand and bring something new, fun and exciting to the casual dining scene in London.
