Hospital Caterers Association launches new webinar programme

The Hospital Caterers Association (HCA) has announced the launch of a series of brand new webinars, aiming to ensure best practice in the food and drink service within healthcare, and the continued successful development of the service.

The Association has organised three webinars in the initial launch phase and is planning on another series to follow after this. The aim is to keep all of those involved in hospital catering updated with the latest news and best practise.

The first webinar takes place on Wednesday 10 November at 1:30 pm and we will be looking into the future of retail in healthcare.

A panel of industry speakers - with a line-up almost fully confirmed but to be announced soon - will discuss in detail issues such as what retail consumers want, how operators will staff for the future, and how to look after the future workforce. The discussion will be followed by a Q&A session with the panel.

HCA Vice Chair Stuart Wray said, 'Catering daily for the NHS has not only become more difficult in the past two years due to the pandemic, but the importance of what we do for the general health and wellbeing of society generally is being increasingly recognised.

'Therefore, it's vital we continue to support the sector with access to a wide range of resources and events such as this, where we can all learn from each other and from the industry's best.'

Future topics in the programme line-up will look at trends, initiatives and directions in equipment, recruitment, and the overall concept of wellbeing.
