Brightstar acquires Stratford-upon-Avon hotel


Brightstar Hospitality Management has acquired The Villare Hotel, Stratford-upon-Avon, its 13th site.

Formerly called The Grosvenor, the 76-bed hotel is now set to undergo a renovation program and will be rebranded back to its original name. It currently offers a restaurant and bar, and was set to open a spa.

Located in the heart of the cultural heritage centre of Stratford-upon-Avon, this landmark hotel is just a short walk away from the High Street and historic attractions like Shakespeare’s birthplace and the Royal Shakespeare Company theatre.

Clive Nicholls, Chairman of Brightstar Hospitality lives in Stratford-upon-Avon and fondly remembers when the hotel was at its height.

Nicholls said, “We have had this hotel in our sights for a considerable time and are looking forward to welcoming guests from all over the world to showcase the best of hospitality in Stratford-upon-Avon.

'Our intention is to upgrade the hotel, bring back its original name and take it back to its glory days”.

The group plans to expand across the country with additional acquisitions in the pipeline.
