Slim Chickens to open 27th site at first Tesco Extra

Boparan Restaurant Group (BRG) is set to open its 27th Slim Chickens restaurant and the first in Tesco Extra this month in Redditch, 15 miles south of Birmingham on the 17th August.

The new 68-cover restaurant designed by AW Architectural Design features exposed brick, industrial beams and the brand’s signature red colourway.

On offer will be Slim Chickens’ signature buttermilk-marinated, hand-breaded tenders and 14 house-made sauces alongside freshly prepared salads, sandwiches, buffalo wings, wraps and waffles as well as sides of mac & cheese, fried pickles and Texas toast.

As well as in-restaurant dining, Slim Chickens will be offering Click & Collect, takeaway and delivery via Deliveroo, UberEats and Just Eat. Diners will be able to download the Slim Chickens app to take advantage of an opening offer as well as on-going reward and privileges.

Satnam Leihal, CEO at BRG, noted, “Slim Chickens is creating local communities of chicken lovers across the country and our customers tell us they want one near them. We have identified locations nationwide for the brand from which we can serve our fresh, cooked-to-order chicken and Tesco’s Redditch Extra is a great place to start to support these plans”.

Slim Chickens is the forerunner in the ‘better chicken’ market. The first UK Slim Chickens opened in 2018 in London’s Marylebone and the brand has rapidly grown to 27 sites in the UK including Cardiff, Manchester, Liverpool, Bristol and Birmingham as well as multiple London locations.
