Soho House & Co has launched Cafe Monico, a 140-cover European style brasserie on London’s Shaftesbury Avenue.
Inspired by the original Cafe Monico, established nearby in 1877, the restaurant serves French-Italian dishes from breakfast through to dinner, including shellfish, pastas, salumi, grilled meats and fish.
The drinks menu features classic Soho House cocktails, traditional aperitifs and a large selection of vermouths.
Soho House food advisor and chef, Rowley Leigh, said, 'The first thing I focused on for Cafe Monico was the design of the kitchen and how we could make it work properly. A good kitchen must have a flow to it. We’ve ended up with a very smart space and a team that will produce some knock-out food.'
