Luxury Perthshire hotel sold

The Hilton Dunkeld House Hotel in Perthshire has been sold for an undisclosed sum to Dunkeld House Hotel LLP, a partnership between Arnold Schnegg, James Hawksworth, and funds managed by Downing LLP.

The four-star hotel, that comes with 120 staff, is set in 280 acres with 98 rooms on the banks of the River Tay, and offers fishing and other leisure pursuits in one of Scotland’s most scenic locations.

The venue, which has been operated by Hilton for over 15 years, caters for weddings, business meetings, and celebrations for up to 200 guests.

The Garden Room restaurant offers fresh cuisine straight from Scottish lochs, countryside, rivers and seas, and there is also The Garden Bar for light bites and snacks.

The hotel's spa features a sauna and steam rooms, heated indoor pool, and gym.

Arnold Schnegg and James Hawksworth founded and built the Hallmark Hotels group. Downing LLP has more than £700m in funds under management and invested £170m into UK businesses last year.
