Bone Daddies - London’s favourite rock n’ roll ramen bar – will celebrate five years of bringing Japanese food with soul to the masses on Friday 3 November.
To mark the day, diners can enjoy one of the 5 best-selling ramen on the menu for just £5, at all five Bone Daddies sites, for the first five hours of service. All diners need to do is quote #GoRamen (‘Go’ is 5 in Japanese) when asking for the bill.
The five best-selling ramen include 20-hour pork-bone broth Tonkotsu Ramen, soy miso T22 Ramen with cock scratchings, aromatic chile-spiked Tantanmen Ramen, vegetarian Mushroom Ramen, and the tangier and saltier, Soy Ramen.
Bone Daddies is the brainchild of Japanese food lover, chef, and restauranteur, Ross Shonhan; whose experience spans across decades of working in the world’s top kitchens, such as at The Dorchester, Nobu, and Zuma.
Bone Daddies began life in 2012 on Peter Street in Soho, where Ross established a restaurant offering accessible Japanese food using well-sourced ingredients. He focused specifically on the popular Japanese comfort food – ramen.
Over the past five years, the success of the first restaurant has led to a further four Bone Daddies sites, situated in High Street Kensington, Bermondsey, Old Street, and most recently, St Christopher’s Place; all of which offer an extensive menu inspired by Ross’ lengthy travels throughout Japan and wider Asia.
There have also been two offshoots to the Bone Daddies brand, first in 2013 with the launch of the ‘izakaya-style’ Flesh & Buns in Covent Garden, which specialises in gua bao buns, followed by Shackfuyu on Old Compton Street in 2015, which offers ‘Yoshoku’ food - western-inspired Japanese dishes.
