Kricket asks for customer support as coronavirus hits footfall

Kricket, a collection of three modern Indian restaurants that combine British ingredients with the Indian flavours, has emailed customers to reassure them of how serious they are taking the corinavirus but also asking them for support, even if it's via at home catering.

The company stated: 'In light of the current climate, we felt it necessary to reach out to you all and share the facts of what is going on here at Kricket.

Coronavirus is having significant implications for people, businesses and the wider economy - hospitality especially! The decline in people dining out has a massive impact on our business, and to be completely transparent, when we don’t have a busy restaurant our business suffers immensely. Our rent, taxes and staff salaries all remain the same, and we need to be able to honour these.
How to support us:

Keep coming - It's business as usual for us and our staff so please come and enjoy yourselves!

Can’t come to us, we’ll come to you - we are open to catering and private events. Allow us to cook an Indian inspired feasting menu for you and your friends!

Loyalty vouchers - To help with our cash flow, we are creating a loyalty voucher, whereby if you purchase a voucher from us for £250 or more, we will add an additional 20% of the amount purchased as a goodwill gesture for helping support us here at Kricket. The vouchers will be valid across all 3 restaurants until the end of the year.

While we encourage you to support Kricket and the industry, we would also like to reassure you that the well-being of our customers and staff is our number one priority. You should know that we operate 5 star health and hygiene ratings from the local authorities across all our restaurants meaning the highest possible hygiene standards and procedures are in place.

We, like you, are nervous about the next few months. But if we all stick together and ride this one out, we will be bigger and better than before.'
