Black Bear Burger is set to join the epic line-up of traders for the launch of Market Halls Cargo Canary Wharf.
Opening on 31 March, Black Bear Burger will be offering a concise menu of signature burgers and hand-cut fries.
Not your typical burger joint, Black Bear Burger’s ethos is ‘simple, done well’. Using the best beef, everything in each burger is to enhance the flavour of the meat. Having grown up on a beef farm in Devon, co-founder Stew Down is committed to using the best grass fed, dry aged, British beef.
Using a blend of cuts, different to a typical burger, each patty is designed to be tender and full of flavour. Keeping things simple, focusing on flavour and making everything they can in-house, Black Bear Burger offers some of the best burgers in the UK.
On the menu for their new spot in Canary Wharf will be Black Bear Burger’s most popular burgers. The menu includes:
Black Bear - dry aged beef, cheese, bacon, onion jam, garlic mayo
Black & Blue - dry aged beef, cheese, bacon, blue cheese sauce, onions
Brisket - dry aged beef, cheese, 12hr beer braised brisket, pink pickled onions, garlic mayo
Fries - hand cut, skin on, twice fried
Loaded Fries - house fries with steak rub, cheese sauce and bacon crumb
Black Bear Burger will be joining the likes of Gopal’s Corner, DF Tacos, Baoziin, Inamo Sukoshi, Le Bab and Pasta Evangelists, as part of the epic food lineup for Market Halls new 20,000 sq ft venue.
Co-founder Stew Down said, “We’re super excited to be returning to Canary Wharf - it feels a bit full circle for me as before we started Black Bear I used to work right here in the Wharf! The Cargo site is just what Canary Wharf needs and we can’t wait to start slinging some burgers!”
Growing from strength to strength, Black Bear Burger will be bringing its total number of sites to three. The new Canary Wharf site will be open alongside their permanent home at Boxpark, Shoreditch and the sit-down restaurant in Brixton Village.
