Mexican casual restaurant chain Chilango and vegan comfort food gods, Biff’s are teaming up to create a one-off plant-based Jackfruit Chilli Cheeze Fry Burrito, which will be sold from Friday 25 March for three days, at Chilango in Islington and Manchester.
£1 from each sale – which will be matched by Chilango – will be donated to #CookForUkraine to raise funds for UNICEF UK’s Ukraine appeal.
The 100% plant-based creation known fondly as the ‘Carburrito’, the indulgent Jackfruit Chilli Cheeze Fry Burrito (also available as a hotbox) comprises of Baked Fries, Black Beans, Biff’s Braised Jackfruit Brisket Chilli, fresh Pico de Gallo salsa, Biff’s Cheeze Sauce and Chipotle Crema.
For those who like it hot, we recommend a helping of Chilango habanero hot sauce to heat things up.

Biff’s Head of Marketing, Christa Bloom-Burrows, said, 'Our restaurant team had been making a staff lunch hack burrito using our braised jackfruit chilli and fries for a while, and when we put it on Instagram people went wild, and demanded we find some burrito experts to turn it into reality.
'Chilango superfan Chris spotted our call, alerted the Chilango team - and the rest, shall we say is history. Chris will be the first to try this new burrito when we launch it later this month at Chilango in Islington and Manchester.'
The Jackfruit Chilli Cheese Fry Burrito and hotbox will be available for eat in, takeaway and delivery.
£1 from every sale of the Jackfruit Chilli Cheeze Fry Burrito and hotbox will be donated to #CookForUkraine which will then be matched by Chilango. Following this launch Chilango will then be adding a voluntary £1 donation to bills across April.
