Big Mamma Group, the firm behind recently launched Jacuzzi and London icons Gloria, Ave Mario and Circolo Popolare, is opening its 5th London restaurant, Carlotta this May.
Located in heart of Marylebone Village, the new restaurant will be Big Mamma’s most intimate trattoria yet, a den serving dishes inspired by famiglia-style Neapolitan and Sicilian classics with a retro Italian-American twist.
A brave new menu includes a delicate rosé veal tartare; tempura shrimp cocktail; penne alla vodka with Cornish crab; lamb arrosticini skewers; and a giant ten-tiered choco fudge cake.
On the drinks side, there’s an extended whiskey list for suave evenings out at this 80’s style drinking den.
The new venue will boast a ruby red terrace, a long sky-lit dining room kitted out with leather furnishings, golden drapes and a soft suede ceiling.
There will also be a dazzling Venetian marble bar for pre-dinner cocktails and a basement, where guest will find Chef Armando in his open kitchen.
In addition to the opening news, Big Mamma's B-Corp status has been renewed this year, with an additional 16.4 points, for a total score of 96.5.
