Eurest Services, Compass group’s B&I division, has had its 20-year relationship with National Grid extended until 2016.
Eurest delivers services to more than 750 National Grid sites daily across the UK, including the National Control Centres for the country’s electricity and gas supply.
The contract extension will therefore see the firm continue to provide cleaning, security, foodservice, vending, pest control, business and guest services, as well as a ‘green travel plan’.
In a statement the company said: “The travel plan promotes sustainable modes of transport at three National Grid sites. At the Warwick site, more than 500 car-share groups have been established, eight coaches travel daily from major towns, a shuttle bus connects with the train station and around 100 people cycle to work.”
