Everards sees 3.2% rise of LFL sales


Leicestershire-based brewer and pub operator, Everards has reported an increase in like-for-like net income of 3.2% to 30 September.

Operating profit increased by 39% to £4.3m and exceptional items grew from £1.5m to £3.2m.

Sales of beer to licensees rose by 5.1% and the brewing business saw a 3.7% rise in production.

The company, which was founded over 165 years ago, has reported Q1 of this financial year in line with expectations, and looks to open two more sites.

Everards owns 176 pubs across 14 counties in the East Midlands. All of these are run as independent tenanted businesses which the firm supports.

The group brews award-winning ales and has a core range featuring Beacon Bitter, Tiger Best Bitter, Original Ale and Sunchaser Blonde. It also brews a different beer every month, finding interesting new styles, refreshing old favourites and celebrating local stories.
