Green light given for £400m Kingston shopping centre regen plan

British Land and Universities Superannuation Scheme have got the green light for a £400m scheme to regenerate Kingston town centre’s Eden Walk shopping centre in south west London.

The joint developers will see the creation of new shops and restaurants, and a new cinema on top of a refurbished multi-storey car park. There will also be 400 flats in surrounding buildings.

The Eden Walk Shopping Centre was built in the 1960s, and is currently home to 28 retailers and cafes, as well as office space and a multi-storey car park.

New buildings will vary in height from five-storeys to ten and one taller building of 16 storeys.
