Kudos to cater the Stand Up To Cancer Channel 4 event

Contract and events caterer, Kudos will once again provide their services for the charity event Stand Up To Cancer, held at Central Hall Westminster on Friday night.

The telethon event - which is hosted by Davina McCall, Alan Carr and Adam Hills, and broadcast live on Channel 4 - brings together an international roster of stars from stage and screen to raise money for research into cancer treatments. Featuring special TV show editions, exclusive comedy sketches, musical performances and personal accounts of people who live with the realities of cancer, the show will be a celebration of life and laughter.

Kudos, who previously catered the event at Central Hall Westminster in 2014, will provide catering for the event’s 200 person VIP reception, serving a range of canapes and bowl food including; fish and chips with homemade tartare sauce, mushroom risotto with truffle dressing, Cumberland sausage with mustard mash and onion gravy, and sweet potato and chickpea tagine with couscous. They will also look after an audience of 500 with beer, wine and soft drinks throughout the event.

Central Hall Westminster and Kudos have had a long-running partnership for over 15 years, and it is central London’s largest conference venue. The Grade II listed building enjoys a prime location opposite Westminster Abbey and adjacent to the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben.

Director of Catering for Kudos at Central Hall Westminster, Gareth Wilson, commented, “It is a pleasure for us here at Kudos to cater for such an important event and for such a worthy cause. Central Hall Westminster is an iconic venue that is perfect for this type of live broadcast event, and we hope that attendees enjoy their experience here on Friday night”.

Kudos will also be catering for up to 1000 members of the crew and production team throughout the day of the event, in their on-site Wesley’s Café; serving a range of hot and cold meals, fresh sandwiches, panini and salads.

Stand Up To Cancer will be televised live on Channel 4 on Friday 21 October 2016 from 7pm. You can donate at channel4.com/su2c or sign up to fundraise at standuptocancer.org.uk.
