Majestic Wine saw group sales rise by 15.3% across the Christmas period, boosted by a strong performance in its retail and Naked Wine businesses.
Majestic's group sales for the 10 weeks to Jan. 2 rose 15.3% compared with a 12.2% growth a year earlier. The firm generally gets nearly 30% of its annual sales during the Christmas period.
Comparable sales in its retail business grew by 7.5% and Naked Wine saw sales rise almost 30%.
Majestic Wine currently owns 210 wine warehouses across the UK, as well as two branches in France. Naked Wines operates in the UK, US and Australia.
Full-year revenue is expected at £445.2m with pretax profit for the year estimated at £11.3m, according to a company-provided consensus.
