Polpo to launch breakfast menu next week

London-based Venician restaurant chain, Polpo is set to launch its first breakfast menu at the brand's Soho site in Beak Street from May 15.

Served to take away, the breakfast bites include mini sweet Venetian doughnuts known as fritole, an integral part of cuisine in Venice since the 14th century. The fritole will be filled with ricotta and sultanas, like the ones pictured.

To celebrate the new breakfast menu, Polpo Soho will be giving away a free one to each of the first 100 customers through the door who purchase a coffee on launch day.

The menu will also offer a range of sandwiches, breads, pastries and cakes, including Ciabatta with Prosciutto Cotto, Emmental & Tomato; Sourdough with Grilled Cheese, Red Onion & Thyme; Field Mushroom & Taleggio Ciabatta; and Whipped Mackerel & Pickled Zucchini Focaccia.

Breakfast will be served at the Soho site each weekday from 8am until midday.
