Aldi is creating about 400 jobs at a new £50m distribution centre due to open at Neats Court on the Isle of Sheppey next year.
The new facility site, which is located off Thomsett Way, will include a 14-acre warehouse – four times the size of the 3.5 acre Morrisons on the other side of the road.
There will also be offices measuring more than 40,000 sq ft, parking for 325 vehicles, 56 bike spaces and 94 service bays.
The buildings will be coloured various shades of green in an effort to ensure they blend in with the surroundings and prevent bird strikes.
