SSP UK & Ireland, a leading operator of food and beverage outlets in travel locations, is updating its offer at London Stansted Airport’s The Camden Bar & Kitchen with the addition of popular street food trader Mother Clucker.
Mother Clucker will begin trading on 4 March and will be the latest on-trend brand to join The Camden Bar & Kitchen, which opened at London Stansted Airport last August. Every six months, The Camden Bar & Kitchen will bring customers a fresh taste of London’s street food scene by collaborating with the city’s best and most innovative street food traders.
Mother Clucker began serving its famous fried chicken from a converted US Army ambulance in 2013. Today, the brand is one of London’s street food favourites dishing up Southern fried chicken brined in sweet tea for 24 hours, soaked in buttermilk, double dipped in a secret spice and flour mix and fried to order.
SSP UK & Ireland and Mother Clucker have worked closely together to ensure Camden Bar & Kitchen customers receive the same Mother Clucker experience that they would receive when visiting the Cluck Truck at one of London’s best street food markets. From serving the fried chicken in the same street food baskets through to the team being taught the Mother Clucker way by Papa Cluck, every element of Mother Clucker will be mirrored in The Camden Bar & Kitchen.

The Camden Bar & Kitchen is also working with cult London coffee and restaurant brand Grind to serve their carefully roasted coffee beans to passengers travelling through Stansted Airport. Founded in Shoreditch in 2011, the brand has gone from strength-to-strength with its inimitable mix of music, design, coffee, food and cocktails, and its team of professional baristas specially trained at Grind’s roastery in east London.
