Laine Pub Co opens SE London pub with escape room

Brighton-based Laine Pub Company has opened Ninth Life pub in Catford, London SE6. There has been an inn on the site since the 1700s and it was last home to The Black Horse and Harrow pub.

DJ nights until 3am, drag queen bingo and live music are part of the entertainment at Ninth Life and an escape room will be added to that this week.

The escape room will be situated at the top of the pub and will have an various themes. The first theme is The Viewing, which will open 7 March, where participants will be met by ‘Estate Agents’ to undertake a flat viewing that takes 'an unexpected and otherworldly turn'.

Pub dishes are served up from the kitchen, along with food from independent vendors in the food market run by Street Food Union - the team behind Soho's Rupert Street Market.

There are seasonal daily specials, locally sourced beers - including Laine beer, Brockley Brewery and Village Brewery - and on Sundays, a range of roast lunches.
