Four new Tim Hortons for UK with emphasis on drive-throughs


Canadian coffee and doughnut fast-casual chain, Tim Hortons is to expand in the UK with four new coffee shops opening before the end of 2019.

The UK portfolio, which currently has 21 sites, will see a further three drive-through outlets and one high street coffee shop open by the end of the year.

Drive-through sites will shortly make up over one fifth of the company’s locations and represents a fast-growing part of the business. The format has proved continuously successful throughout the UK and allows increased access for customers to enjoy throughout the day.

A new coffee shop in Leicester city centre will also be opening by the end of the year, which will be the largest UK site for the brand with over 150 seats.

Also, looking to make the brand more accessible to customers, Tim Hortons will be trialling delivery services in more than half of its restaurants with two service providers.

Tim Hortons launched in the UK in 2017 and offers a range of coffee, tea and hot chocolate, and freshly baked doughnuts,cakes, muffins and bagels, as well as sandwiches, melts and wraps, fries and burgers.
