Accor’s AllSafe protocols in UK & Ireland secure government backing

Accor, the leading augmented hospitality group, today announced that its global cleanliness and prevention programme, AllSafe, has secured government backing through the Government backed Primary Authority Scheme, validating its full compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation.

AllSafe was introduced in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and is independently audited to ensure compliance with its rigorous standards. AllSafe was developed by Accor in partnership with Bureau Veritas, a world leader in testing, inspection and certification.

Accor is the first major hotel group to announce that it is recognised as meeting and surpassing Primary Authority assured advice on health and safety measures relating to Covid-19. Its hotels provide hospital grade room disinfection, deep cleaning of all upholstery and carpets, with bedding washed and treated at high temperatures.

Hotels bearing the AllSafe label feature appropriate partitioning, sanitary measures for guest use and the strict observance of social distancing procedures. Hotel employees have also been through a comprehensive safety, hygiene and training programme. In the UK, all aspects of the programme are being assessed by Clifton Environmental Services, a leading specialist health, safety and hygiene auditor.

To address potential concerns guests might have about falling ill while at an Accor hotel, they have access to free telemedicine consultations through AXA Partners’ expert medical solutions. Guests can also access AXA’s extensive network of vetted medical professionals based on their specific language or health needs.

Richard Short, Health, Safety and Environment Director, Accor Northern Europe, said, “We are very pleased to have received official approval by the UK government backed scheme of our AllSafe programme. It underlines our commitment to ensuring our guests are provided with the very best hygiene, cleanliness and safety measures in the industry.”

As the sustained impact of Covid-19 becomes ever more apparent, it is vital that our hotels continue to meet and surpass government guidelines on safety and hygiene measures. Primary Authority assurance reflects our total commitment to achieving the highest industry standards in health and safety.”
