Award-winning CoqBull opens in London E1

CoqBull, home to the capital's juiciest coq, has opened it’s newest site serving up its free-range brine-soaked rotisserie chicken and gourmet burgers to East London's Spitalfields.

To celebrate the launch at Spitalfields and welcome the festive period with the Coqbull Christmas Menu, on Friday 26 November from 12pm, the team will be giving out 50 free Christmas Coq burgers to walk-ins only at the Spitalfields site. Each burger is made with classic Coq Chicken, maple-cured bacon, chestnut stuffing, brie, cranberry mayo and fries.

The Christmas at CoqBull menu will also be available at Spitalfields and Soho with a choice of either a three-course sit down option (£35pp) or standing menu (£30pp), created for those looking for their sauciest Christmas party yet.

For the sit down menu, customers can feast on sharing starters such as Hot Coq Free Range Wings, or its vegan Cauliflower Wings alternative, before choosing from mains such as the Christmas Coq Burger, or Half Coq (with stuffing, mash and chicken gravy) all followed by a choice of two mouth watering desserts including a Vegan Chocolate Brownie. The standing menu will be served as a selection of sliders, sharing platters and dessert canapes including Mini Mince Pies and Lemon Curb Tartlets.

Festive drinks packages include a Prosecco (£7pp), Champagne (£15pp) or Festive cocktail (£11pp) reception as well as festive themed Coqtails such as the Delicious Ho (spiced rum, lychee, passionfruit, salted caramel and lemon) and many more. Both Spitalfields and Soho will also be hosting their 'Night Bird' late-night lounge sessions from Thursday to Saturday throughout the Christmas period.

The à la carte menu at Coqbull will feature customer favourites such as the Coq Spice Bag (Chicken strippers, dry rub chicken wings, popcorn chicken, pickled onions, spiced peppers, fried and habanero mayo), Smoking Coq (Marinated chicken breast, crispy bacon, smoked Applewood cheese, smoked BBQ mayo, and tobacco onions) and burgers such as the Classic Double Bull and the Ragin' Bull (Jalapeno, chillied red onions, and habanero mayo).

CoqBull Spitalfields is housed across two floors, with a 120-cover restaurant residing on the ground floor and an intimate 80-cover speakeasy-style basement space offering private dining, DJ night, and after dark events. The ground-floor restaurant's quirky, bespoke furniture, neon lights, and graffiti elements set the tone for its focus on the fun and the daring, as well as its commitment to outstanding quality food.

CoqBull has embraced sustainability and the importance of local provenance into its offer, with its free-range chicken harking from Norfolk and its beef burgers supplied by third-generation UK butcher, The Butchers Block.

Founder Patrick Frawley said, “We are so excited to finally open our second site in London! We will be arriving in Spitalfields bringing something new, fun, and exciting to the casual dining scene in London with CoqBull and what better way to arrive than with good food and dancing until late for a CoqBull Christmas.'
