Elephant Park launches Elephant Stores for local brands

Lendlease has announced the launch of its latest curated community space at Elephant Park. Elephant Stores is a 3,000 sq ft unit occupied by local brands Little Louie, SoLo Craft Fair, and Fix Your Cycle, and furnished - with all items for sale - by online operator, Vintage Matters.

Elephant Stores, a unit overlooking the new two-acre park within Zone One of London, has been purposely fitted from shell as a pop up to facilitate a wider range of uses for new businesses than a standard unit would provide, creating more opportunities for community-focused offers at Elephant Park.

Little Louie is the latest project by Louie Louie, the restaurant-bar-café hybrid venue located a stone’s throw away on the Walworth Road. From the Elephant Park unit, Little Louie will serve classic brunch dishes during the day with a Nepalese-inspired evening menu, alongside affordable cocktails, and a large selection of wines.

Chris Greenwood of Little Louie, said, “Elephant Park is the perfect location to expand our brand in South London. The shared white-box space offered by Lendlease is a brilliant way to come together with other independents and will create a fresh customer experience whilst championing local brands, adding to Elephant Park’s unique community spirit.”

Guy Thomas, Head of Place Assets at Lendlease, commented on the launch, “Pre-fitting in the manner we have has made the process of attracting more diverse operators easier, cheaper and faster, and for a young business this can make the difference in enabling them to take a physical space.

'Lendlease has an ongoing commitment to securing a complete and varied mix of operators within Elephant Park, focusing on those that understand the local area and its community. Having Little Louie, SoLo, Fix Your Cycle and Vintage Matters is another great step for Elephant Park, and one that delivers perfectly on our community-first objective.”

News of Elephant Stores was released as Lendlease also announced the marketing of the latest phase of retail on Chatteris Quarter at Elephant Park. The units, also on Ash Avenue and a short distance from the Four Quarters arcade bar, offer high footfall potential with views over the two-acre park, and are open to retail, wellbeing, leisure, or creative businesses with a base in south London.
