The Inn Collection reopens The Kings Head Inn after major refurb

The Inn Collection has reopened its latest purchase, The King’s Head Inn in Newton under Roseberry in Middlesbrough, after a £400k refurbishment.

The revamp has created four additional bedrooms, bringing it’s room total to 12, and expanded and improved its popular dining facilities, paving the way for the inn to provide an all-day food offering.

The expansion has protected 30 jobs including ten new positions. It also brings the Inn up to the same standard as The Inn Collection Group’s other three inns in Northumberland – The Hog’s Head in Alnwick, The Bamburgh Castle in Seahouses and the Lindisfarne at Beal, Holy Island – with an AA three-star grading.

Inn Collection CEO, Keith Liddell said, “All of our pubs were carefully selected for their fantastic locations and The King’s Head Inn is in one of the most picturesque spots in Yorkshire at the foot of Roseberry Topping and at the gateway to the North York Moors National Park.

“We saw its potential immediately but it needed work to ensure it could offer visitors the same standard of facilities as our other pubs. I’m delighted that the work is now completed and we have been able to both safeguard and create new jobs at The King’s Head.

The Inn Collection Group has teamed up with partners including Welcome to Yorkshire and North York Moors National Park to work towards bringing more tourists and corporate visitors into Newton under Roseberry.
