Principal Edinburgh hotel has celebrated becoming Scotland’s latest pet-friendly hotel by welcoming its first V.I.P – Very Important Pooch.
The iconic hotel rolled out the red carpet for the VisitScotland Ambassadog, Golden George, on his visit to the capital.
‘Paw’fectly behaved George donned his tartan bandana to enjoy Principal Edinburgh’s signature four-star luxury – which has been tailored to suit guests looking for grand and elegant city experience alongside their K9 companions.
Personally labelled dog beds, ceramic Principal pet bowls and a doggy hamper containing doggy bags, chews and handmade gourmet treats are just some of the luxuries that lie in wait for doggy guests at Principal Edinburgh.
Andreas Maszczyk, General Manager (pictured with George) said, “It was great to welcome Scotland’s Ambassadog to Principal Edinburgh. He certainly received a warm welcome from our staff and guests alike and was incredibly dashing in his tartan bandana.

George, who turns two next month and has been VisitScotland’s Ambassadog since 2016, lives with twin sisters Emma and Victoria Rae in Glasgow.
