St James’s Market wins top development award

London's St James's Market - the redeveloped shopping, dining and office scheme - has won best commercial development at the Props Awards, held at the Hilton on Park Lane.

The Props is an annual property industry awards event organised by children's charity, Variety, which seeks to raise money to provide wheelchairs and other equipment for disabled or sick children.

This is the first award win to come through for St James's Market, making it a special achievement for The Crown Estate team and our joint venture partner Oxford Properties, and a fantastic recognition of the success of the scheme.

St James's Market is the latest redevelopment to be delivered as part of The Crown Estate's wider strategic vision for the St James's portfolio. Restaurants at the development include Anzu, Aquavit, Veneta (pictured), Ole & Steen and Duck & Waffle Local.

The landmark development occupies the area between Regent Street St James's and Haymarket, boasting luxury office space alongside lifestyle retail and seven new restaurants centered around a reinvigorated public square.

Flagship shopping includes ASSOS, Paul & Shark, SMEG and the Jigsaw St James’s Emporium.
