Award-winning bartender to launch aperitivo bar & tea house in London

An award-winning bartender is set to open The Gun Mint Club, an aperitivo bar, deli and tea house, in London's Stoke Newington on 21 July.

Rich Hunt is the former Head Bartender at the Hawksmoor and Milk & Honey, and, prior to these top roles, scooped three International Bartender of the Year awards.

The new venue doubles up as a tea house and a delicatessen. The large range of teas can be ordered to infuse alone, or as part of a tiffin-laden High Tea.

The cocktail list includes Monsoon created with ICY Vodka, extra dry vermouth, Marasca cherry liquour & Koura flower water, and aperitifs like Milanese Nightingale with gooseberry, bramble and elderflower flavours with Picon Bière bitters from Northern France.

There will also be low-alcohol beverages too, like health superfood drink kombucha, and Himalayan lassi made with 'Club' labneh.

The menu will offer plates form the Middle East to Asia and the Med including Almond Hummus, rose harissa with flatbread, tabbouleh and chargrilled aubergine, Club Labneh with zhoug on sesame flapjack with fruit wine melon, and Bang Bang Kimchi with choya brioche knot, soothing ricotta, and a side salad of cucumber, lime, pickled dulse, daikon & spring onions.
