Deliveroo launches queue delivery at Wimbledon

It’s been a grueling and sweltering two weeks at SW19 and with the hotly anticipated Women’s and Men’s finals to still be played - the queue this weekend is set to hit break-point.

To make the long lines a little more bearable Deliveroo is launching it’s queue delivery service in the UK after successful trials in Ireland and Spain.

Deliveroo, the only British food delivery service, has created an edible tennis ball to celebrate the new offering and serving as an extra treat for those braving the queue this weekend.

The whimsical dessert was created using tempered white chocolate spheres filled to the brim with strawberries and cream mallow. The gooey treat is the perfect accompaniment to the very British sporting event.

Joe Groves at Deliveroo said, “Two of the most quintessential British-isms; queueing and Wimbledon, they’re a perfect match! So what better way to bring our new queue delivery service to Brits than at Wimbledon?

We wanted to create something for those braving the queue to enjoy - hence the world’s first edible tennis ball.”

Deliveroo’s new queue delivery service works exactly the same as its core offering, using GPS locations to help guide the rider directly to your spot in the queue. Deliveroo will be delivering to lucky tennis fans who are in the queue at Wimbledon from July 13, while stocks last.
