Duke Of Wellington’s estate pub unveils 25 bedrooms

The recently opened Wellington Arms situated on The Duke Of Wellington’s estate in Stratfield Turgis, Basingstoke, has this week unveiled 25 stylishly decorated bedrooms at the pub which opened in late November, following a £2.5m refurbishment from award winning, independently owned, Farnham based pub company Red Mist Leisure.

Combining the historic charm of the building with a contemporary design, the Wellington Arms is the only independently owned pub group in the area to offer the 4 star hotel facilities one would expect from a bigger hotel chain, providing the perfect weekend getaway or mid week stopover.

Sophisticated luxury in a relaxed setting awaits hotel guests to the Wellington Arms, with each of the 25 rooms having sumptuous king size or twin beds with luxury bedding, state of the art stylish bathrooms that boast fluffy towels and bathrobes whilst ESPA Bergamot & Jasmine toiletries subtly scent the room and are sure to delight even the most discerning customer.

One of the 25 rooms is a suite and features a freestanding bath in the bedroom in addition to its ensuite facilities, making it perfect for romantic breaks or a bridal suite.

Small touches such as complimentary handmade chocolates from Choose (the small artisan chocolate company based in Hampshire) are thoughtfully placed in rooms for guests to enjoy alongside a Mozzo coffee machine with Hampshire roasted Mozzo Coffee capsules. Furthermore, there’s a well-appointed mini bar offering a selection of wines, local beers and spirits too.

Nestling within the Wellington Estate which covers 7,000 acres of parkland, woodland and farming land, owned by The Duke Of Wellington and his family, The Wellington Arms and its bedrooms and meeting and function rooms, offers the perfect combination of a traditional English pub combined with relaxed and modern design to create an atmosphere for all to enjoy and in a nod to the Duke Of Wellington, all rooms have been named after his war battles.

Open 7 days a week, The Wellington Arms is the perfect location for catching up with friends or business acquaintances. Smaller private dining areas are available within the pub to host intimate corporate meetings and lunches or to allow families and small groups to enjoy a meal together; and for the eco-friendly guests, the pub also offers electric car-charging ports.
