Award-winning Whitwell fish and chip shop, The Chip Inn has achieved record sales after putting its business online with JJ Foodservice's restaurant website builder, FOODit
Owner Tim Moncaster said, “We engage with our customers regularly on Facebook – having our own website was the next natural step.”
Since going online, the chippy has noticed a significant boost in business. “Our online sales have literally tripled since joining, particularly when we promote the website on social.”
Thanks to a smart ‘VIP’ feature on his website, Moncaster knows who his new and most loyal customers are. “We use this information to give customers a little treat to say thanks.”
The Chip Inn was named the ‘Most Highly Recommended Takeaway’ at the FOODit Independent Takeaway Award 2019. Moncaster said that the free local PR generated by the FOODit team following his win, helped to achieve his best ever week of sales.
