£550k Harrogate B&B changes hands

Scotia House in Harrogate has been sold via Colliers International on behalf of seller Marie Lock.

The B&B was sold from a guide price of £550k to Mark and Gillian Church, who have moved to the UK from South Africa.

Centrally situated, Scotia House is highly convenient for visitors to the convention centre and the town centre shopping and dining facilities only a short walk away

The guest house, which is immediately opposite the Harrogate Convention Centre, features five en suite guest bedrooms, a breakfast room, owner’s suite, front terrace garden, rear patio and parking.

Peter Bean, director of hotels agency at Colliers International, commented, “New owners, Mark and Gillian, have family connections to the North Yorkshire hospitality trade and had been looking for a well located B&B.

'Their successful purchase of Scotia House has given them a fantastic new venture in owning and operating a high quality business with a superb trading location, in one of the best towns to live in the UK.”
