Le Gavroche to reopen on 7 July

Michel Roux Jr has announced that bookings for Le Gavroche in Mayfair will be open from 7 July.

The two Michelin-starred restaurant, which first opened 53 years ago, has an extensive COVID-19 health and safety program ready to be implemented to provide every reassurance for everyone’s comfort and wellbeing.

Roux Jr commented, “It’s a challenge we’re happy to take on, There will be changes, but each of these is designed to make sure that our guests’ safety as well as that of our kitchen and front of house staff, is paramount.

“We’ve done a lot of work over the past few weeks getting things ready, and we’d like to let our diners know what they can expect on their next visit.

The safety measures include:
> All staff will take daily health and temperature checks on arrival and kitchen staff will wear masks, and our front of house team will follow Public Health England guidelines.
> Four tables have been removed to give diners more room.
> For extra reassurance, the air conditioning is not recycled air but 100% fresh air drawn from outside, coupled with an extremely powerful extract to ensure safety and comfort.

There will be two tasting menus, including an eight-course available for lunch or dinner (with or without matched wines), and in the evening we will also offer a four-course tasting menu with or without wines.

There will be a smaller menu of individually priced dishes to select three or more courses from, with an exceptional choice of dishes. The famous set price lunch menu will be offered during the week.

The wine list will be on i-Pads for greater hygiene, which has some exceptional bin ends including some favourites in ‘Michel’s Special Collection’ featuring treasures from the vast wine list at very discounted prices.
