Smokestak innovates with Xmas specials for delivery

Following the success of Smokestak’s DIY smoked meats and bun boxes, chef and founder David Carter will be firing up his wood-fired smoker for the festive season and offering Christmas specials such as whole smoked turkey; treacle cured smoked gammon and whole smoked goosnargh duck, for nationwide delivery throughout December.

Meat has been carefully sourced from long-standing suppliers Philip Warren Butchers and Swaledale, before being gently smoked over kiln-dried English oak for up to 15 hours in David’s Ole Hickory wood-fired smoker imported from the barbecue heartland of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Delivered direct to homes via overnight courier, all meat will be fully-smoked / cooked before being chilled and vacuum-packed for dispatch nationwide in a thermally insulated box. Reheat and assembly instructions are included in each box which can then be enjoyed at leisure.

Perfect for a festive feast and available to pre-order from the middle of November, guests can take their pick from Christmas favourites including whole smoked Devonshire bronze turkey; whole smoked goosnargh duck and treacle cured smoked gammon.

As always, the Smokestak shop will be stocked throughout the season with a choice of 15 hour beef brisket; native breed pulled pork; whole 30-day dry aged beef rib racks and a 2-pounder and 4-pounder kit, accompanied by barbecue sauces and house pickles.

Smokestak’s cult favourite buns can be recreated in the comfort of diners’ own homes with DIY bun boxes, containing four pillowy buns ready to be stuffed full of a choice of brisket, house barbecue sauce and pickled red chilli; or pulled pork shoulder with mustard barbecue sauce and ginger slaw, as well as a line-up of additional garnishes and sauces, tangy pickled red chilli and pickled cucumber, a house spice rub, and beef dripping.

For something sweet, to finish there is sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel.

For those who fancy a cocktail or two, Smokestak's Christmas cocktails include a spiced ginger old fashioned and blood orange negroni, which come pre-bottled and ready to serve over ice.

Christmas specials are available for pre-order from w/c 18tNovember with delivery available throughout December and the last orders before Christmas on Monday 21 December at 6pm for delivery on Wednesday 23 December.
