Soho restaurant launches nationwide recipe delivery service

London restaurant Bocca di Lupo's delivery service 'Bocca di Lupo At Home' will be available for delivery nationwide from this Sunday, 1 November.

In keeping with the restaurant’s ‘In Viaggio Regionale’, a series of monthly changing regionally focused menus, the ‘At Home’ menu brings together a collection of dishes to recreate the signature Bocca di Lupo flavours from across Italy in a few simple steps in the comfort of home.

Delivering to doorsteps across the UK, Bocca di Lupo At Home is more than just a delivery service, offering recipients the chance to get involved and cook the range of regional Italian dishes for themselves. With step-by-step videos and clear instructions included with each delivery, Jacob and the team are on hand through the whole cooking process, making things easy for even the least confident home cook.

Each month diners have a choice between ‘Campo’ (vegetarian), ‘Maccellaio’ (meat), and ‘Mare’ (sea) three-course menus. November’s iteration pays homage to the fertile Southern lands of Puglia featuring primi (pasta courses) of handmade capunti pasta with a delicate sausage ragu or antipasti of creamy burrata with broad bean puree and chicory leaves.

To follow there’s whole salted gilt-head bream with a side of sweet peppers with capers and breadcrumbs or slow roast lamb shoulder with burnt honey, rosemary and garlic. Dessert comes in the form of evocatively named ‘Tette delle monache’ translated as nun’s tits, mini sponge puffs filled with a delicate and indulgent vanilla and lemon cream.

Throughout November, founder Jacob Kenedy and his team will also be providing a free Negroni for two for deliveries to those in Tier 3 as a gesture of solidarity through these challenging times (use code ‘NOVGRONI’ in the comments box at checkout).

In December, tying in with the festive spirit of celebration and indulgence, Bocca di Lupo will deliver a selection of truffle feasts inspired by mountainous region of Piedmont.

The truffle feasting boxes will each include a whole 18-22g white truffle which diners can shave generously atop creamy tonnarelli al fonduta, as part of menus including trout stuffed with aromatic breadcrumbs, the inimitable vitello tonnato, or rabaton (chard and ricotta dumplings).

Those who don’t fancy truffles can choose between a humbler menu starring roast partridges stuffed with mountain herbs, with parmesan polenta and a sauce of bagna caoda, or a humbler still ‘contadina’ menu of braised cabbages filled with mortadella and pork, following Jacob’s signature anchovies col verde.

To finish, diners can sample traditional Piedmontese ‘Bonet’ - a decadent dessert, similar to a crème caramel but enriched with chocolate, caramel, coffee, rum and amaretti.

Sommeliers Phil Morgan and Michael Perucci have thoughtfully paired each menu with wines from Bocca di Lupo’s award-winning, all-Italian list, adding detailed pairing notes to help you choose the ideal wine for your Italian feast.

For those looking for a nightcap, or indeed an aperitif, there are a choice of Negroni, the lighter Day Negroni made with white vermouth or the classic Night version to finish the meal in style. For those wanting a touch more to take them through the colder winter months, there is also the option to buy the Night Negroni kits for up to 28 serves.

For those searching for an extra special Christmas treat for their loved ones, Bocca di Lupo will also be offering bespoke hamper boxes filled with products from some of their most favourite suppliers from across Italy.

Inside will be an artisan Forno Gentile panettone studded with raisins and candied orange (a showstopper also available to be purchased on its own), cold-pressed chocolate bars from Modica, Sicily as well as the finest Giandujotti from Guido Gobbino, Columbian coffee roasted in Italy and two of Bocca di Lupo’s signature Negroni.

In addition to their classic hamper, Jacob and the team have put together a ‘Party Nibbles’ box featuring a fine selection of the best regional Italian snacks that any household bubble can enjoy.

Included inside will be crisp Carta da Musica from Sardinia, Tuscan Pecorino (with truffle honey to drizzle), wild green and black olives from Calabria, Bocca di Lupo’s signature caponata as well as other delicious treats.

For that extra bit of festive cheer, there is also the option to add Gelupo’s very own Prosecco Superiore or any other bottle of wine listed.

Kenedy said, ‘I am utterly delighted to deliver my favourite tastes of hidden Italy to the whole nation, especially in these tough and unpredictable times. Now everybody can share a gastronomic trip in their own homes: an escape to Puglia, Piedmont through some of our most-loved dishes.

'I am also extremely proud of our beautiful Christmas hampers, filled to the brim with the best panettone we have ever tried, and some rare and delectable treats flown in from my friends across Italy - Buon Natale!’
