Belhaven ale wins bronze at Scottish Beer Awards

Dunbar-based brewery, Belhaven, backed up recent award wins with Belhaven Scottish Ale clinching the Bronze medal for Best British-Style Ale in the Scottish Beer Awards.

Belhaven’s beers continue to be recognised with Belhaven Scottish Ale beating off strong competition from its competitors to clinch the award at last night’s online event.

Belhaven Scottish Ale, made from the best quality Scottish malted barley, was commended for its exceptional taste and individuality, as the smooth, rich and nutty ale impressed judges throughout the marking process.

Upon hearing of the accolade, Greene King Brewing & Brands managing director, Matt Starbuck, said: “We are delighted that our beers continue to be recognised by experts as top in class for consistently great quality product. Our brewers are passionate that every beer that leaves our brewery is of the finest quality,

“Belhaven Scottish Ale was up against some tough competitors, so it is great news that the judges awarded it with a Bronze medal in Best British-Style Ale this year. We are committed to continuing to brew award-winning beers and hope this accolade strengthens our position as one of the leading brewers in the country.”
