Arora Group appoints new chief executive to drive expansion

Sanjay Arora has stepped into the role of chief executive at Arora Group, the family’s hotel and property company.

Founded in 1999 by Sanjay’s father, Surinder Arora, the group owns more than 20 UK hotels, including Fairmont Windsor Park and Bedfordshire’s Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa, which is earmarked for redevelopment under the Fairmont brand.

With over ten years’ experience at the family firm, Sanjay has held positions such as chief operating officer and led projects including the acquisition of two large shopping centres and the opening of the Buckinghamshire Golf Club.

In his new role, he will collaborate with the senior leadership team as Arora Group expands its presence in the UK hospitality and property markets.

Surinder, who will transition into the role of executive chairman, said: “Watching Sanjay’s journey from his earliest days in the business has been one of my proudest privileges. His ability to blend innovation with a deep respect for our values means the group is in safe hands. The stage now belongs to the next generation, one that honours our roots while reaching boldly toward new horizons. We step into the future with a modern leadership that understands both the numbers and the narrative of an evolving world.”

Sanjay described it as a “privilege” to lead the business as it explores new opportunities for growth.

Arora Group, which has a strong presence in airport hotels, expanded further this year with the acquisition of Bloc Hotels for an undisclosed sum.
