Selfridges acquires Irish department store


Department store group, Selfridges has now officially acquired Irish rival Arnotts from Fitzwilliam Finance Partners.

One of Ireland's oldest and largest department stores, Arnotts occupies prime location on one of Dublin's busiest shopping thoroughfares in Henry Street.

Selfridges Managing Director, Paul Kelly commented, “Selfridges Group is delighted to be taking over the management of Arnotts department store. Arnotts will benefit from our global retail experience and continual investment.

Arnotts offers customers four eateries: Clodagh’s Kitchen restaurant, with seasonal menus curated by celebrity chef, Clodagh McKenna where a huge emphasis is on locally-sourced and artisan produce; Bewley’s coffee shop offers a selection of sandwiches, snacks and treats each day; Itsa is known for signature bagels, soups and salads; and Homemade serves an array of dishes from full Irish breakfast to fresh Roast of the Day.
