DoubleTree by Hilton opens in Southampton city centre


DoubleTree by Hilton has opened a 135-bed hotel in Southampton's city centre, following a £4m investment and renovation programme,

The revamped venue now boasts a brand new reception, lobby area, and a new onsite restaurant, Bracken Place Restaurant, Bar and Lounge, which offers a variety of traditional and modern dishes.

The renovation has seen the introduction of brand new bathroom suites and air conditioning units, There is also a new resident-only Precor gym facility.

Along with this, there are 14 renovated meeting rooms, all with air-conditioning, high-speed internet access and natural daylight. Ranging in size, the hotel can cater for all guest event needs, from a small Executive Boardroom for 4 people, to a ballroom that can seat up to 150.

Since launching in the UK in 2008, the DoubleTree by Hilton portfolio includes 32 sites. Over 90 DoubleTree properties will be operating across Europe, Middle East and Africa by the close of this year.
