JKS Restaurants to open third Motu Indian Kitchen in Canary Wharf

London-based JKS Restaurants is set to open the third Motu Indian Kitchen in Canary Wharf on 20 February.

The new site, which follows the success of the first two kitchens which launched in Battersea and Camberwell last year, will service homes and offices in the surrounding area including parts of Limehouse, Poplar, Millwall and Cubitt Town. The kitchen will be open for both lunch and dinner orders, accommodating both residents and those working in the neighbouring offices.

Motu launched its first site in October 2016 servicing areas of South West London from its RooBox kitchen base in Battersea. This was quickly followed by the opening of the Camberwell kitchen catering to areas of South East London in December last year.

Named after the Sethi siblings’ affectionate nickname for their uncle, meaning “Fat Man” in Hindi, Motu delivers refined versions of Indian takeaway classics. The “Feast Boxes”, that take inspiration from the traditional tiffins used to distribute meals to workers across Indian cities, can serve one or two people.

Containing classic Indian dishes such as ‘Kashmiri Lamb Shank Roganjosh’ and ‘Madras Prawn Masala’ the boxes also include sides of ‘Naan’, ‘Pilau Rice’, ‘Pappadums’, ‘Mango Chutney’ and ‘Kachumber Raita’. Main dishes can also be ordered separately along with starters including ‘Tandoori Mixed Grill’ and ‘Malai Chicken Chops' and additional accompaniments of ‘Samosa Chaat’, ‘Tadka Dal’ and ‘Aubergine Masala’.

The Canary Wharf kitchen will also offer additional dishes exclusive to the location including ‘Lamb Seekh Kebab Naan Roll’, ‘Samosa Pao’, 'Keema Pao', 'Tandoori Paneer Naan Roll', ‘Indo-Chinese Chilli Paneer’ and a ‘Biryani Set Box with Raita and Papads’. Daily specials such as ‘Lamb Chop Masala’, 'Prawn Biryani' and 'Whole Tandoori Chicken' will also feature on the menu.

The Canary Wharf Motu kitchen will open for orders on February 20th.
