Scotts embraces current dining trends with summer menu

Buzzworks Holdings has announced a refreshed menu for summer at their Scotts venues in Troon and Largs, focusing on fresh local produce and reflecting current dining trends.

Chefs from Scotts at Troon Yacht Haven and Scotts at Largs Yacht Haven have been hard at work, creating some of the tastiest summer dishes, showcasing the best seasonal produce that Scotland has to offer.

The new menu reflects the prime location of each of the venues, with stunning views of the Ayrshire coast and perfectly placed to select the best locally landed seafood.

Synonymous with seafood connoisseurs, lobster, langoustines, king prawns, scallops and mussels’ are all on the menu at Scotts and the new hot seafood platter is set to wow old and new customers, with soft shell crab tempura, smoked salmon, smoked mackerel, shell on prawns, prawn tempura and calamari.

Those looking for a more relaxed seafood dish, can experience the new posh fish and chips, ideally washed down with one of the specially selected white wines from the cellar or range of beers handpicked by the head barman.

Reflecting current food trends and the rise of vegan and vegetarian consumers, Scotts chefs have put their creative talents to good use to create a wide and varied menu to cater for all tastes, including the new Dirty Vegan burger, with broccoli infused baps, along with hearty vegan lasagne.

Meat eaters can rejoice too, with the return of the Tomahawk steak, which will challenge even the hungriest of appetites and a herb crusted rack of lamb set to make mouths water.

Those with a sweet tooth will also be well looked after, with the Buzzworks Bakehouse, situated behind Elliots in Prestwick, creating mouth-watering homemade desserts including glazed chocolate tiramisu and strawberry shortcake sundae.

Alison Blair, Buzzworks Holdings Operations Director, said, “Our customers can expect fresh, summer dishes with fantastic flavours on the new menu, with our chefs creating amazing dishes not only with locally sourced ingredients, but encompassing some of the latest food trends including vegan and vegetarian options.

“We believe this menu epitomises Scotts, with the best of the locally landed seafood on offer, the finest cuts of meat and top class vegetarian and vegan options, appealing to all tastes and ages. Each dish showcases the superb talent that we have working back of house and will truly add to our customer’s experience here at Scotts.”
