£2m revamped Jurys Inn Swindon welcomes new GM

Following Jurys Inn Swindon’s £2m refurbishment, including the transformation of its 229 bedrooms, the city centre hotel has appointed Hazel Galloway as General Manager.

Originally hailing from South Lanarkshire, Scotland, Galloway made the move south from her role as General Manager at Jurys Inn Bradford to take the role of Jurys Inn Swindon General Manager at the start of August.

Galloway said, “I am looking forward to leading the excellent team at Jurys Inn Swindon, welcoming returning and new guests, and taking over a beautifully refurbished hotel.

“It’s exciting to discover a new city and meet people. Swindon is known as a friendly and warm town, with plenty of glorious countryside nearby, I can’t wait to meet locals and visitors alike.”

Speaking about how she plans to enjoy the town, Galloway added, “I really enjoy shopping so being near the Swindon Designer Outlet will be great. The outlet is just a short walk from the hotel, so I’m sure guests will share my enthusiasm for its convenient location!

“Jurys Inn Swindon provides the perfect base to explore all the town has to offer, including historic attractions such as Lydiard Park and the Steam museum'.

Hazel joins the role with a wealth of experience within the hotel group, having started her career at Jurys Inn Aberdeen in 2009, as part of the food and beverage team, where she was promoted to Revenue Manager in 2012 before transferring to Jurys Inn Glasgow where she served as Deputy General Manager and onto Jurys Inn Bradford taking the General Manager position.

Jurys Inn Swindon has recently undergone a £2m refurbishment, totally transforming each of its bedrooms with stylish interiors and contemporary décor including 15 executive rooms.

The new spacious rooms feature the exclusive DREAM bed by Jurys Inn with crisp white linens and soft fluffy pillows, a 40' flatscreen TV, a well-lit work space with an ergonomic chair and a modern bathroom with complimentary toiletries.
